The Four Left Standing

Well, it all comes down to this Sunday for these four guys.  Which one will lead their team to the Super Bowl?  3pm - Manning vs. Sanchez,  6:40pm  Brees vs. Favre

Here's what I think we can learn from each of these players:
Peyton Manning-  He is perhaps the most cerebral player in the game.  Manning teaches us to do our homework and study our opponents.  He's also famous for his audibles -- quick changes he makes at the line of scrimmage when he notices a certain defensive alignment.  Here he's teaching that if you are prepared, you can make last minute changes and succeed.  If you aren't prepared, that kind of quick change would cause chaos.
Drew Brees- When I think of Drew Brees I think of great leadership and unbelievable fitness.  This guy is INCREDIBLY strong and fit.  He can teach us to do the work in the weightroom- and to work SMART.  He strengthens his core and his speed, because those are the demands of his position.  I also think he's a tremendous leader-- check out the pre-game cheers for the Saints- always led by Brees.
Brett Favre- This one is easy.  Favre teaches us to do what you love, for as long as you can! He took a lot of criticism over his retirement, unretirement dance...but in the end, this guy just loves to play football.  Another great leader, but what I think we can learn from Brett is-- do what you love, for as long as you love it!!
Mark Sanchez- I think we can learn to be enthusiastic and confident from Mark Sanchez.  He's a rookie and he's really turning some heads in the NFL.  He's made his fair share of mistakes, but he's bounced back time and time again.  Watch this guy play-- he's an enthusiastic leader, who plays like a veteran.  He teaches us that age and experience don't always limit you (Favre teaches us this, too!) ...if you have enthusiasm and confidence, anything is possible.

I can't wait to watch the games on Sunday!!   It will be interesting to see who takes their team to the Super Bowl.  Could Brett Favre and Peyton Manning do it again??  Could a rookie win it all??  How awesome would it be for the city of New Orleans for the Saints to win the big one??
